Theory Time! What Is the Room?
(First, let me just say, I have so many theories to this, so stick with me guys! :p)
Hey Guys! It's Mia! First, I know Lilly posted about this briefly before and I'm a little late on this topic, but hey, better late than never! So on March 28, the Poptropica creators posted a picture of this room as a sneak peak from Pop Worlds:
They told us to come up with our own theories and I certainly have! So my first thought was that it could a be room of a house, which it very well could be, given that very early in the process of making Pop Worlds, around early fall last year, the creators were showing us possible houses(ignore the vote thing):
Which, by the way, they all look super cute and exciting! But back to the room. As you can see in the picture, there are two doors, one on each level and that wouldn't make much sense for a house unless maybe it led to another bedroom or something which, again, it could! This is just a theory so anything and everything could go!
Along with the door placement, it wouldn't make much sense for it to be a house, since it's so oddly decorated. I mean, the exterior of the houses look chic and modern and it wouldn't make much sense for the interior of those houses to look that odd would it?
But wait! It could! On Feb. 7, the Poptropica creators were answering questions about Pop Worlds and said,
"...when we launch Poptropica Worlds you'll be able to customize the inside of you very own home"
So they could be demonstrating how you could customize your house, maybe?
I'm also thinking it could be a room to an island, because if you look at the doors closely, it looks like they have some kind of lock on them, maybe that is something you'd have to complete on an island (like find the key to unlock the door or obtain the key somehow). Or possibly...
Stay with me here. Also, on February 7, one questions was,
"Will there be other things to do in Poptropica Worlds besides playing islands?"
and their response was
"Yes! You'll have to wait and see what we have in store for you...."
So possibly that room could be a part of the "something new" who knows? Looking at the picture again though, you can tell it still has very original Poptropica-features to it. The 2d room structure and the classic rope is still there, which is actually quite relieving!
In addition to the room, just the format of the picture itself could be saying something.
Do you see how there is kind of like a flashlight effect? Do you think that they are trying to point out that one part of the room so you will notice something (say, the rope?) or are they tryig to hide or conceal the other part of the room that may give away a little extra to Pop Worlds (the doors are kind of hidden, and I see some kind of map)?
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed my theory! Tell me your ideas on it, too! :)
Thanks for reading, poppers!
